Bauza hits out at AFA leadership: They know nothing about football

Edgardo Bauza has criticised the new leadership from the Argentine Football Association (AFA), claiming they don't know anything about football.
Right after intense speculation, Bauza was sacked this month following a 2-0 defeat to Bolivia in La Paz, a result which left Argentina out with the automatic qualification spots for the 2018 Globe Cup.
The 59-year-old says he knew his time was limited right after Claudio Tapia was elected president with the AFA in the finish of March.
Tapia and his father-in-law Hugo Moyano - now vice-president at the AFA - have been involved in the Argentine Truckers' Union, with Bauza suggesting football is not an region of knowledge for either.
"I was out of the national team ahead of they took more than," he said in an interview with La Capital.
"They did not take away me earlier mainly because we beat Chile [in the match before Bolivia]. If not, I'd have already been thrown out ahead of.
"When we started talking football, he [Tapia] didn't inform me something since they have no idea about football. They're trade unionists. I usually do not say that to be disparaging, but it is the truth.
"Instead of telling me to go they wanted to put on me out together with the rumours - certainly they did not know me.
"Once they realised that they have been not going to acquire rid of me that way, they plucked up some courage and came and told me what they had done."
Tapia responded to Bauza's comments in the CONMEBOL congress on Wednesday by saying: "Good males say points in private. He had the chance to talk to me and he did not tell me anything."
